Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Return Suits Air Force

Air Force Academy, Colo., December 21, 2009 – The Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and the state of Texas are bountiful recruiting targets for college football teams.

That’s one of the reasons Air Force is pleased to be playing for the third consecutive year in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.

Even though the Falcons have different recruiting standards because of academic and military demands, Air Force has been successful attracting players from Texas to enroll at the Academy.

Houston begins preparations for Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

Houston, Texas, December 18, 2009 – Heart-breaking losses to UTEP in the third week of the season, which derailed the University of Houston’s bid to become a BCS buster, and East Carolina in last week’s Conference USA championship game are firmly in the Cougars’ rear-view mirror as they prepare for a rematch against Air Force in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.

Admiral Mike Mullen to Accept Great American Patriot Award on Behalf of Troops

The Executive Committee of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will present the 2009 Great American Patriot Award to the men and women of the U. S. Armed Forces.

Admiral Michael G. ‘Mike’ Mullen, U.S. Navy, the 17th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will accept the award on behalf of the Armed Forces. The award will be presented by Armed Forces Insurance (www.afi.org), the sponsor of the award and the Official Insurance Partner of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.
