Gary Sinise and The Lieutenant Dan Band to perform at Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl post-game concert

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Gary Sinise and The Lieutenant Dan Band will perform immediately following the 2010 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl at a post-game concert presented by Armed Forces Insurance. The concert is free to the public and will pay tribute to the United States service members in attendance at the game, with a special focus on the wounded warriors.

7th Annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Golf Tournament

On September 17, the 7th annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl Golf Tournament was held to thank those that contributed to a successful 2009 bowl game.

Held at Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield, Texas, this event included more than 200 players and volunteers, and more than 60 representatives from our corporate partner companies. Once again, we were honored to have all five branches of the military attend: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl to play 2010 game at SMU’s Ford Stadium

Fort Worth, Texas, August 17, 2010 – The 2010 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will be played at SMU’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas as Amon G. Carter Stadium recently announced plans for renovation.

The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl will be televised live from Ford Stadium at 11 a.m. CST on Thursday, Dec. 30, on ESPN. The eighth edition of the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl marks the first time in the bowl’s history that the game will be played somewhere other than Fort Worth’s Amon G. Carter Stadium, located on TCU’s campus.

Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl announces Dec. 30 kickoff

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, April 26, 2010 – The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl is set to kick off the eighth edition of the postseason college football bowl game Thursday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. CST. 

This marks the first time in the bowl’s history that the game will be played on Dec. 30, as the game has been played on Dec. 31 for the previous three years. Before joining the New Year’s Eve schedule in 2007, the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl was played before Christmas, on Dec. 23.
